These days ...

… the torrent of news threatens to destroy our carefully constructed strategies in its wake. But what if we were to become more like water in our thinking? Apparently formless, yet effortlessly filling and taking on each form into which it flows?

The end of strategy?

Corona doesn’t mean the end of strategy. Yet these uncertain times signal the beginning of a more fluid approach to strategic thinking. Thinking that’s not merely tactical, or opportunistic. Rather, a strong conviction that from now on, we must be adaptive and can only be successful when we go with the flow. Whatever action is needed to keep the ship afloat is good, even if it means repurposing it into a submarine right now and then. Good ideas are those that work, not those from a set thought-process.

Of course, this doesn’t mean losing sight of our objectives. But it does mean being flexible and open enough to find different, creative, maybe even uncomfortable new ways to reach them.
